Morning Prayer & Holy Communion

Today, on Passion Sunday, we welcome Cathy Rhodes to St Tim’s.
Cathy is the Environmental Officer for the Sheffield Diocese.

Passion Sunday is the fifth Sunday in Lent and the start of two weeks of ‘passion time’ leading up to Easter.  Jesus is at a crisis point at which he turns to Jerusalem in the certain knowledge that he is going to suffer and die.  It’s a “tipping point” – a pivotal moment.

Environmentally and ecologically, we too are now at a tipping point – a point at which we have no option but to tackle a daunting array of issues. We owe it to the younger generation to face up to these new challenges
.

What do we need to let go of today?
How can we find a more sustainable way of living?
