“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”1 John 3:18 (NIV)
Giving and Covid-19
We’re experiencing a radical change to our lives as individuals and as a church right now, but we can be confident and know that we are upheld and secure in God’s love.
It is through love in action and in truth that we, as individuals and as a church family, look out for our neighbours and go that extra mile in sharing Jesus’ love.
St Timothy’s is a beacon, shining as a light for Christ in Crookes and across our city in the streets we live and the places we work.
Our church ministries are a part of that light, and if we desire to sustain our work and outreach during this time of lockdown and beyond, we need your continued generosity.
Some of our usual sources of income, such as hall bookings and service collections, are not available to us at the moment. To keep going as we are, we need to raise around £500 per week, and we need your help to do that.
Thank you for your support.
Please see a letter below from our Rev. Malcolm Lambert explaining everything further including our church work during lockdown and our finances:
How to Give to St Tim’s
There are several different ways to give to St Tim’s:
Parish Giving Scheme:
This is our preferred way that you give. It is an easy and effective way to give regularly to our work. The Parish Giving Scheme is administered centrally for the Church of England and is the most efficient method for us. Gift Aid can be easily applied through the scheme. It minimizes our costs and maximizes the impact of your giving.
You can phone them on 0333 002 1271 and quote our unique Parish Code: 350635058
or request a pack with all the information you need from: email@example.com
For a one off donation you can transfer money straight from your bank. Please contact one of our finance team for our bank details: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please remember to put a reference so we know what the money is for.
You can give by cash or cheque on a Sunday morning during the offering. Please make cheques payable to: St Timothy’s PCC
We would much prefer you to give through the Parish Giving Scheme but we do offer the option of standing order. Every standing order costs us administration time and money, especially if you want to Gift Aid it. Please contact the finance team though if you want to give by standing order: email@example.com
If you are a UK tax payer, Gift Aid is a great way of increasing the value of your gift at no additional cost for you. If you identify your giving, the church can claim 25% extra on your gift! This can be done automatically through the Parish Giving Scheme!
