The Parable of the Cornerstone (Daniel 2:33-45,Matthew 21:23 and 33-45)

The Parable of the Cornerstone (Daniel 2:33-45,Matthew 21:23 and 33-45)

The Parable of the Cornerstone
The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. […]  Jesus is the cornerstone God places at the centre of the new community of his people – the new temple where he dwells by his spirit.

The message? — God wants his people to bear fruit.
“If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.”
The landowner in the parable is God coming to his people, expecting to find the vines laden with fruit and his people overflowing with kindness, with justice and with praise – bearing fruit that will last (see also Psalm 118).
