Challenge and our Response (John 6:1-14)

Stewardship – Focussing on what we do have, rather than what we don’t have,
as illustrated by John chapter 6: The Feeding of the Five Thousand.

The financial challenges for the year ahead:
– thriving youth and children’s ministries
– church maintenance
– church organ.

The money we have is a gift from God…
– so shouldn’t our attitude towards it be more like our wedding vows?
“All that I have I give to you, all that I am I share with you,”

How much are we prepared to give?
Are there things we hold on to, which we see as non-negotiable?

Remember, God won’t ask you for what you don’t have; God asks us to share, to use what we do have.   And this is what stewardship is all about: making good use of what we do have, rather than worrying about what we don’t have.
