The Crucifixion (Luke 23:32-43,Joshua 24:14-28)

The Crucifixion (Luke 23:32-43,Joshua 24:14-28)

Fear the Lord and serve Him!
Throw away the gods your ancestors worshipped!

The theme of today’s sermon is the Crucifixion, continuing our sermon series on people Jesus met. We examine the differing attitudes of the two criminals, and how – at the different stages of our lives – this applies to us all (as we struggle to completely trust in God and hand over the reins).

We all face moments when life isn’t what we expected it to be, when our present life doesn’t quite match up to our dreams.  Yes, we should put our faith in God, but that’s not to say that we shouldn’t dream, that we shouldn’t keep our zeal to “change the world” and encourage others to do the same.

Don’t forget, it’s Streets of Light week!
