Do you want to get out and meet people during the day?

Would you like to learn some new skills?

Then why not come to our Tuesday Social Club, from 11am to 4pm in the Church Hall (on the right hand side of the church)?

We provide cheap lunch, and there are plenty of options of things to do, from knitting and making cards to playing snooker, playing music and learning about computers.

Why not come along and see for yourself!

Social Club

We began in August 2004 as an out-reach project to those in our community who are out of work and on the fringe of society. A place where people could come to meet, form friendships, learn new skills and build their self-confidence and self-esteem.

Since its launch we have been blessed with many donations including food, a snooker table, computers, books, art supplies and most importantly people’s time and commitment. Over the past 6 months numbers have steadily grown and interest is continuing to spread. Currently we are designing and hand crafting greeting cards, selling them within our church family and donating the profits to charity. This has been an exciting project and those involved have shown great creativity and had a lot of fun.

We also have other skills projects in the pipe line including woodwork, a music workshop, banner/tapestry making and first aid. The internet is available, which provides a great research facility and information access for everyone.
