Evening Service
The Evening Service
A thoughtful space at the end of the day, anticipating the week ahead, where we reflect upon God’s presence in every step of our journey, and worship him.
Our aim is to draw on streams from the Celtic Christian tradition, celebrating Community, Creation, the Trinity, an openness to being led by the Spirit, and sitting light to institution.
We plan to organise various events after the summer to share our vision and hospitality with the wider community.
This terms teaching is based on the lectionary readings.
A view of the 6.30 Service
“The 6.30 Service is for me a journey into God. It was during this service that I first received the Holy Spirit and began this relationship. Over the following weeks and months this time of worship has become my cornerstone, strengthening and deepening my faith. There is always a sense of love in the church, surrounding us and filling our prayers. It is very moving and exciting for me, keeping my belief fresh, and sending me out into the world with God’s joy and love bounding in my heart. His gift to me which I try to pass unreservedly on to those I meet through out the week.”
