Good relationships are what make life worthwhile. “All you need is love” – is what the Beatles told us once. Family hug

Not surprising when we are told that “God is Love” (1 John 4.7).

God wants us all to belong to each other – loving communities and families – where we are accepted and valued for who we are, not what we look like. And where we are loved and accepted, we can grow to become ourselves, set free from fear – not having to pretend anymore.

God planned for the whole human race to be one family in which diversity is celebrated and everone matters. Where people can trust each other and live at peace. All you need is love…? Sadly love is in pretty short supply in our world, and things are in a mess.

But we believe that through Jesus, God can help us start again. He gave us a new commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you”. Doesn’t sound too hard… till you think he died for us – while we cared nothing for him. Who on earth loves like that? Impossible!

But not for God. He can give us his Spirit to help us love each other. And he gives us the ‘Church’ – an imperfect community where we slowly learn to put theory into practice. Where, inspired by Jesus, we begin to give and receive the Love and acceptance God wanted us to have in the first place.

In this section you will see the different ways we are learning to live in community, learning to love like God.
