Welcome

…especially if you have recently arrived in Sheffield or Crookes to study or work. This is a great city!

St Tim’s is a local Parish Church running a wide range of activities in addition to our Sunday Services. We have different adults and children’s ministries supporting the life of our Church community, and others that support our outreach to the wider community.

A major outreach focus is our link with Anna Nagar, a slum community in Delhi, India, run by a charity called Asha. Through this link we hope to develop a simpler, less materialistic lifestyle, and learn to be more generous – and more like our boss! See posts to the right for more info.

Please join us at any of our three Sunday services, or at our informal Wednesday communion held in the Church Centre at 10.30am. To get a flavour of what the sermons are like, listen to an audio file.

harvest-lunch-08-web1We have recently changed the building a lot, improving access to the church, and making it a lot more usable – as in this picture of our Harvest Lunch.

The Church Centre is open most weekday mornings, so come and have a look round, or join us for a coffee and cake at our Friday Cafe, 3.30pm to 6pm during term time. Click here to see the church on Google Map Street view.

There’s always lots going on at St Tim’s; to find out what exciting things are happening at St Tims click here.

Visit of Freddie Martin

It was great to welcome Freddie Martin from ASHA in Delhi to our services on 20th Nov.  He spoke inspiringly of the next stage of their work in slum communities, which is to support young people from the slums through college.  We were able to hand him a cheque for £1500, plus £468 raised from October’s Harvest BBQ.  Who’s up for going out there next year?
